Airbus / Boeing / ATR Type Rating

 

A Type-Rating is a regulating agency’s certification of an airplane pilot to fly a certain aircraft type that required additional training beyond the scope of initial license and aircraft class rating.

There are majorly three different Type-Rating courses available

AIRBUS
A world leader in Single-Aisle jetliner category, A320 being the most used aircraft in India by some of the major airlines and is bestselling aircraft in the world. It’s equipped with Fly-By-Wire system which converts the analogue pilot controls into digital electronic signals via wire transmission.
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Qualification:  12th with Physics and Mathematics.
  • CPL with Multi-Engine IR
  • Class-I Medical
  • FRTOL & RTR
  • level-4 in English fluency in line with ICAO standard
  • 25 hours on multi-Engine aircraft (10 Hours can be completed in an approved Simulator).

BOEING
Today, there are more than 10,000 Boeing commercial jetliners in service; airplanes that fly farther on less fuel, airplanes that reduce airport noise and emissions, airplanes that provide passenger-preferred comfort while delivering superior bottom-line performance to operators. Even after few setbacks in recent years, Boeing still is preferred choice by major airliners across world. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Qualification:  12th with Physics and Mathematics.
  • CPL with Multi-Engine IR
  • Class-I Medical
  • FRTOL & RTR
  • level-4 in English fluency in line with ICAO standard

ATR
Toulouse, Southern France based turboprop aircraft manufacturer ATR manufactures two sizes of turboprop aircraft, the 70-seat ATR 72 and the 50-seat ATR 42. Both aircraft benefit from fuel, emissions and cost efficiencies provided by turboprop engines.
ATR turboprops provide airlines with the best opportunities for operating short-haul routes at a low operating cost. Airlines servicing smaller markets desperately need more fuel efficient-aircraft to continue operating regular flights between regional airports and to main airports and hubs. ATR has nearly 1,700 aircraft and has over 200 operators in more than 100 countries, SpiceJet being one of them.
